Other fundraising

As a Service Club, the Rotary Club of Charlottetown Royalty must raise funds in order to carry out it's many community and international projects. 100% of the funds that are raised from community fundraisers go directly to the projects that the club conducts.

In addition to our major fundraiser, the Business Advertising Supplement, and the QEH Golf Tournament, which raises funds for the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Foundation, we also raise funds through other ways.

Coins for Eyesight

At the end of each breakfast meeting, club members throw in loose change, and each year the funds are sent on to Operation Eyesight to prevent blindness and restore sight by providing cataract surgery and addressing glaucoma, eye cancer and other cases of "avoidable blindness", to enable people to regain eyesight, especially in underserved areas in Africa and Southern Asia. Started originally as "Pennies for Eyesight", by 2021, this initiative by our club had raised over $ 31 000.

Vesey's Seeds Flower Bulbs

Vesey's Seeds is a Prince Edward Island seed distribution company with international sales. Each October the company donates boxes containing over 100 spring flower bulbs for Rotarians to buy or sell. All proceeds from this project go to the Rotary Foundation.
Thanks to Bev Simpson and John Barrett for this generous donation!
